This over the belt holster was originally designed by Texas Ranger Lee Trimble and made for him by saddlemaker A.W. Brill of Austin. It was quite popular from the 1920’s on. It is a double thick straight high ride holster that works well. It is made to fit Colts and clones as well as Rugers in lengths of 4 3/4”, 5 ½” and 7 ½”. It is available plain, border stamped or fully carved as shown. The buckle set was from the Texas Ranger museum in Waco provided by the customer. This belt would normally have 1½” billets and a solid brass buckle.
